The District Information Officer, Kupwara, Mohammad Yousuf Mir was felicitated with a special award on the eve of 76th Independence Day celebration at District Police Lines Kupwara. The Officer was awarded for his meritorious, distinguished and outstanding performance in the field of media coverage and public relations.

The award was given by Chairman District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir and other dignitaries.It is pertinent to mention here that Mir has also received awards and appreciation during other occasions for his meritorious services in the field of media.
