‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Abhiyan witnesses huge public participation across Ramban

District Administration Ramban today launched Har Ghar Tringa Abhiyan, encouraging the people to hoist the National Flag on the rooftop of their homes to mark the 75 years of India’s independence.

On the inaugural day, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav witnessed huge public participation across the district. Besides, hoisting the Tiranga on top of their homes, the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussrat Islam and SSP, Mohita Sharam today flagged off a massive ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally from the District Police Line Ramban to Ramban town.

President MC Ramban, Sunita Sumbria, DDC Councillor Rakesh Thakur,  ADDC, Rajinder Sharma,  ADC, Harbans Sharma, Addl. SP, Rajni Sharma, Dy. SP headquarter, Pardeep Singh, Dy. SP DAR Waqar Ahmed and various senior officers were also present on the occasion and stage proceedings were ably conducted by  Raj Singh Raju.

Former MLA, Neelam Langeh and other prominent citizens also participated in the rally. The rally was organized by the Police department in which a large number of Bikers, vehicles, youth and students participated to mark the Tiranga Utsav.   The rally began with the tune of the National Anthem played by the Army Piper Band.  

Sharing a video on social media in which hundreds of youth took out a Tiranga march, the DC said: "This is a great collective effort by the people of Ramban, especially youth. I admire the enthusiasm towards #HarGharTiranga."

The event was appreciated by the people as it was unique in style, colourful in appearance and massive in gathering. The students assembled in chains and formed India @75, signifying seventy-five years of Independence.

Speaking on the occasion, the SSP said that the idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
