Har Ghar Tiranga : Special Tiranga March, Symposium, Storytelling, patriotic Songs mark IRP-22nd Battalion’s celebration event

SSP flags off the Rally, DC presides over programme at GDC Kishtwar

To promote the mission of "Har Ghar Tiranga" in the district and commemorate the 75 Years of  Independence under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the IRP-22nd Battalion today organized multifarious activities in collaboration with District administration Kishtwar, District Police, CRPF witnessing participation of  hundreds of School and College students.

About 150 students of different educational institutions including GDC Kishtwar, GHSS Girls, GHSS Boys and Hr. Secondary School BVM participated in the Tiranga March flagged off by SSP, Shafqat Hussain Butt in presence of ASP Rajinder Singh and Dy. Commandant IRP 22nd Bn. Nissar Hussain Shah besides others.

The Tiranga March started from TRC Ground Kishtwar and culminated at GDC Kishtwar followed by a symposium on the topic the "SIGNIFICANCE OF HAR GHAR JHANDA".Besides, patriotic songs, story-telling on the importance of the National Flag and Har Ghar Tiranga were also a part of the programme.

Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, Principal GDC Kishtwar Dr. Anirudh Sharma,Dy. Commandant IRP 22nd Bn. Kishtwar Nissar Hussain Shah, the jury members namely S K Sen (retired Professor) , Akshay Sharma Professor GDC Kishtwar and  Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani also remained present in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest enlightened the students and participants about the significance and dignity of Tricolour in the life of citizens of India.He appealed to make this campaign a grand success by hoisting the national flag on their Houses from 13th-15th August with due adherence to the guidelines of Govt.

The committee of judges declared Aasif Iqbal as first, Anshu Parihar as second and   Shivani Sharma as 3rd. The winners of the symposium were presented special prizes.  Besides, the students who took part in patriotic songs/story telling etc. were also given prizes as a token of participation.

Prof. Tariq Tamkeen, conducted the proceedings of the programme, while the dignitaries present were felicitated with mementos by the Chief Guest.The programme including Tiranga March and symposium etc. was organized by IRP-22nd Bn under the supervision of  Dy. Commandant IRP 22nd Nissar Hussain Shah.The civil society members present appreciated the  positive message of religious harmony and integration spread through the programme.
