DC Kathua Rahul Pandey reviews implementation of self-Employment schemes

District Development Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of self employment Schemes in the district.During the meeting, the officers from departments briefed the DC about the status of coverage of beneficiaries under various self employment schemes of their departments.At the outset, the DC took Panchayat wise review of the outreach of self employment schemes being implemented by different departments viz Industries, Horticulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism, Sheep Husbandry, Floriculture, Handicraft, Handloom and Banks.  The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon GM DIC to work out a mechanism for mapping the job profile and the skill with industrial needs.Principal, Polytechnic College Kathua was directed to track the placement status of all pass-outs and aware them regarding the job opportunities available in the market.The DC called upon the stakeholder departments to work out a self employment plan commensurately so as to cover all the Panchayats with regard to self employment opportunities.Banks were directed to facilitate the processing of self employment cases on priority.While directing the officer from the Tourism department, the DC laid thrust on convergence of schemes of different departments so as to ensure holistic development of areas being projected under the tourist village network.Besides, the meeting was also attended by CPO Uttam Singh, GM Industries, CAO, CHO, CSHO, AD Employment, AD Handloom/Handicrafts and other officers.
