Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra visits Sangrur Civil Hospital to review facilities

Punjab Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education and Research Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra today visited Civil Hospital Sangrur and reviewed the facilities being provided to patients here. On this occasion, Sangrur MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj and Gurmail Singh were also present.

Cabinet Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra said that reforming the health and education sector were the first priorities of the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government and necessary activities have been initiated to achieve the set targets. 

He said that he visited Sangrur to review the requirements regarding equipment and infrastructure so that the required facilities could be provided in the nearby future.The Cabinet Minister said that on August 15, the Punjab government will be inaugurating 75 Aam Aadmi clinics which will have all the necessary staff from doctors to sweepers. 

He said that along with basic health facilities, medicines and tests will also be available there. He said that these clinics will help in providing quality health services to the people near their homes as well as strengthening primary health care. 

He said that through these clinics, the state government will help in reaching every section of health services, reducing health related expenses, early detection of diseases and strengthening the government health system for financially weaker sections.

During his visit, Cabinet Minister Jauramajra instructed the officials of the health department that the patients should not face any kind of problem in the government health institutions. He said that besides providing health facilities on time, special care should be taken for cleanliness of health institutions.

On this occasion, besides others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Varjit Walia, SDM Sangrur Charanjot Singh Walia, Assistant Commissioner Devdarshdeep Singh, Civil Surgeon Sangrur Dr. Parminder Kaur, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Vikas Dhir, SMO Dr. Baljit Singh and District Family and Welfare Officer Dr. Inderjit Singla were also present.
