DC Jammu reviews delivery of revenue services, functioning of department

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa today reviewed the functioning of Revenue Department and the delivery of different public services, besides the status and progress of the development projects and schemes being implemented in the district, here at a meeting at DC Office Complex. ADC L&O, Minga Sherpa; ADC, Satish Sharma; ACR, Vijay Kumar, SDMs, Tehsildars along with senior officers from Revenue department were present in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review regarding writing and digitisation of Jamabandis, implementation of SVAMITVA scheme, status of eviction of unauthorised occupants from state land, disposal of revenue court cases on RCCMS portal, issuance of online Fard Intkhab and other services, attestation of pending Mutations, acquisition of land for Jammu-Akhnoor road, Ring Road, Akhnoor-Poonch road and disbursement of compensation to land owners.

At the outset, the revenue officers informed the chair regarding the hiccups being faced in the delivery of online public services.The Deputy Commissioner said that matter regarding uploading and the fixation of fee for different revenue services was already in the consideration of administration and the matter would be resolved soon.

While reviewing the progress regarding writing of Jamabandis and their digitisation, attestation of mutations and writing of Girdawaris, the DC directed the Tehsildars to complete the same as per targets. She said that the proof reading of Jamabandis followed by certification shall be completed by 20th July.

She set timelines for submission of details of mutations and up-dation of Jamabandis/Girdawari.Regarding the SVAMITVA scheme, the Chair was informed that 442 villages have been covered out of 492 and rest will be covered soon.

Regarding disbursement of e-rent, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to disburse the rent to the beneficiaries without further delay.The Deputy Commissioner also directed the Tehsildars for speedy disposal of court cases related to revenue and uploading of the same on the designated portal.
