DDC Chairman Doda reviews achievements of line departments in first quarter of current FY

District Development Council, Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal today chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC office complex to take stock of the implementation of developmental schemes by different departments in the district and progress made in the 1st quarter of the Current Financial Year.

The meeting was attended by BDC Chairperson Kastigarh, DDC Councillor Thathri, ADDC Doda (CEO DDC), Dy Director Employment, ACP Doda, CAHO Doda, DSHO Doda, DIO DIPR Doda, DSWO Doda, ALC Doda, STO Doda, Superintendent ITI Doda and other District and sectoral officers.

Reviewing progress made by District Industries Centre Doda, it was informed that the department sponsored 476 cases under PMEGP out of which 251 were sanctioned and 94 were disbursed in the first quarter of this financial year.

The performance of the district under the PMEGP has received great appreciation from the Government for surpassing the target of sanctioning 52 cases in the current financial year, the meeting was told.

The Chairman directed the department to issue a retrieval order to those, who were allotted industrial lands but failed to start the units even after expiry of the deadline set for the establishment of the unit.

While reviewing progress of the Animal Husbandry department, it was informed that the department sponsored 500 cases under Integrated Dairy Development Scheme, of which 296 were sanctioned and 79 units were established. 

The Chairman instructed the Sheep Husbandry department to motivate and encourage the youth to establish Sheep/ Goat farm and avail the subsidy based departmental schemes. The Social Welfare department was directed to create mass awareness about the State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS) to enable the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries to take the benefits.

The achievements of the department in extending the benefits of ISSS, NSAP, NFBS, DDRC and student Scholarship schemes were also reviewed by the DDC.The DDC Chairman also reviewed the performance of Ayush Department, Labour & Employment department, Sports department, ITIs, Handloom department, Handicraft Department, Excise and Commercial Taxes department.

The Chairman directed the District Ayush Officer to establish the Ayush Dispensary sanctioned for Bhaderwah within a week and monitor and pace up the ongoing work on the prestigious High Altitude Medicinal Plant at Bhaderwah.

All the departments were asked to work with renewed energy to serve the people and ensure that the benefits of individual and community benefit schemes reach to the last man in the queue. He exhorted upon the officers to maintain transparency, accountability and decency in the process of services delivery to the targeted beneficiaries.
