Badal Terms Series Of Bomb Blasts At Bodh Gaya As Barbaric And Inhuman Act

Assailing the incident of series of bomb blasts at world renowned Maha Bodhi Temple at Gaya in Bihar, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal termed it as barbaric and inhuman act.Talking to the media persons here at the Information centre of Sri Harmandir Sahib complex, the Chief Minister said that it was very unfortunate that the terrorists had not even spared the religious shrines for carrying out such brutal activities. He said that this incident has once again proved that the terrorist do not have any religion and their sole aim was to spread terror amongst the masses.Lashing out at the Congress led UPA government at the centre, the Chief Minister said that during their tenure the Union government has miserably failed in providing internal and external security to the countrymen. Mr. Badal said that it was a fact that the Congress government has failed to check such incidents of terrorism in the country thereby putting the sovereignty of the nation in deep peril.

When asked to comment on the issue of shifting of seats with the BJP, the Chief Minister said that it would be too early to comment on the issue as this matter has not been discussed yet by both the alliance partners. He reiterated that the alliance between SAD and BJP was very firm and both the alliance partners have always solved the major issues through mutual dialogue. Mr. Badal said that both the alliance partners have never said no to each other on any issue and have always respected each other’s sentiments.Meanwhile the Chief Minister asked the officers of Municipal Corporation Amritsar to ensure proper cleanliness around the Sri Darbar Sahib complex. Later on the Chief Minister and National BJP President Mr. Rajnath Singh paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib.The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Mr. Anil Joshi, President of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar, Secretary of SGPC Jathedar Dalmegh Singh, Incharge of Punjab BJP and former Union Minister Mr. Shanta Kumar, President of state BJP Mr. Kamal Sharma and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rajat Aggarwal.
