Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, will remarry on Thursday in Chandigarh. Mann, 48, will wed Sangrur native Dr. Gurpreet Kaur. Reportedly, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has been invited to the occasion as a special guest. From their home village of Satoj, Mann's mother has already arrived at the CM residence.

Media reports have stated that Bhagwant Mann’s mother and sister have arranged the marriage of the Punjab chief minister with Dr Gurpreet Kaur. Mann’s sister and mother both wished for the Punjab chief minister to tie the knot again, and both of them chose the bride.

Dr. Gurpreet Kaur is reportedly friendly with Bhagwant Mann's family. She has a long history of knowing CM Mann. According to media accounts, Gurpreet is a native of the Haryana town of Hisar. According to rumours, CM Mann's mother favoured another marriage for her son and Dr. Gurpreet was already Dr. CM Mann's choice for his bride.

Meanwhile, speaking of Bhagwant Mann’s personal life, he was earlier married to Inderpreet Kaur, but the couple filed for mutual divorce in 2015. He has two children from his earlier marriage. They had attended his swearing-in ceremony as the chief minister of Punjab in March this year.
