Jawan: Vijay Sethupathi To Feature In Shah Rukh Khan & Atlee’s Upcoming Film

Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming films are creating a buzz in the industry. One among the list Is Jawan. Earlier, it was reported that Atlee’s direction would cast Rana Daggubati, but after that, it was noticed that the South actor refused because the Vijay actor reportedly had a busy date diary. It has now been revealed that the makers approached Vijay Sethupathi to play the villain. 

Yes, you read that right. According to the most recent information, Vijay Sethupathi, who was excited to be a part of Jawan, has been considering modifying his shooting dates. Despite being one of the busiest actors in the nation right now, Sethupathi still doesn't want to pass up the chance to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan. An official announcement of the same will be issued as soon as the actor joins the film crew to begin filming his scenes.

Shah Rukh Khan will share the frame with Nayanthara in this film. Speaking about ‘Jawan’, Shah Rukh Khan recently shared, “There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about ‘Jawan’ except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), he brings in some. Whatever we have done of ‘Jawan’ is thrilling and exciting.” ‘Jawan’ is scheduled to hit the screens in June 2023 and will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Speaking of Sethupathi, the actor is currently enjoying Vikram's popularity, which features Kamal Haasan. He also has intriguing Hindi films like Farzi, in which Shahid Kapoor and Vikrant Massey co-star, Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan, and Mumbaikar, in which Katrina Kaif plays the protagonist.
