For all the 90’s kids who are now enjoying their youth, we have a great piece of news for you all. The majority of 90s generation children watched Shaktimaan, our very own Indian superhero, as children. We used to look forward to Sundays because we would get up early to see Mukesh Khanna perform all those brave deeds that would astound us all. Shaktimaan was unquestionably the first superhero that we all admired.

What if we told you that "Shaktimaan" will be making a comeback, but this time it will be on a big screen? How excited will you be to learn that a feature film is being planned to bring the superhero from the 1990s back to the big screen? If news sources are to be believed, a movie based on Shaktimaan may be launched shortly, but Mukesh Khanna won't play the superhero.

One who has been reported to play Shaktimaan is none other than Ranveer Singh. Yes, you read that right. The film might cast Ranveer in the lead role, and we can say he is best suited for Shaktimaan. However, he has not signed the film on the dotted line yet. Ranveer is currently wrapping up Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which will see the Gully Boy pair, Ranveer and Alia Bhatt reunite. "Ranveer has shown a keen interest in playing Shaktimaan, the Indian superhero. The makers too feel that Ranveer can bring a natural charisma to the superhero character, who was first introduced in 1997. Talks are on with the actor and the team," the source added.

When the movie was announced in February 2022, a post on Comicon's Twitter account advertising the movie in 2018 had gone viral. The post was later determined to be an April Fool's joke. However, it appears like the joke is over.

Now, coming to Ranveer Singh’s work front, Rohit Shetty's Cirkus has already been finished by the actor. He is also working on Simmba 2, but production is not expected to start anytime soon. There is another movie starring Shankar, although it is still in its very early stages.
