DDC Kupwara chairs DLRC to review ADCP

Directs for earlier disposal of cases of sponsoring agencies

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today chaired a meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) to review the overall performance of the Banks and other Financial Institutions under Annual District Credit Plan (ADCP) of Kupwara District for the financial year 2022-23,

Addressing the meeting, the DDC stressed upon all banks for earlier disposal of all cases on priority & also directed line departments to sponsor cases properly & submit the cases to respective branches as per service area on weekly basis.

The DDC directed all the financial institutions, government departments and other institutions & agencies to implement the guidelines in true letter and spirit and ensure 100% achievements in social security schemes so that our collective efforts help us to come up to the expectation of masses. 

He stressed upon all the line Departments and Banks operating in the district to work in unison with added vigour and zeal to achieve targets in a time bound manner. The DDC also congratulated the LDM & his team for excellent performance in improving the indicators of Financial Inclusion under Aspirational District for which NITI AYOG has conferred an award of Rs.3 crore to Kupwara district recently. 

While highlighting the overall performance for 4th quarter under Annual District Credit Plan, Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Mehboob Ellahi Khan informed that under Annual Credit Plan 2021-22 for the district stood at ₹1412.28 Crores as on March 31, 2022 which constitutes 89% against target of ₹1582.16 Crores.

 The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of ₹823.72 Crores against target of ₹1376.63 for 4th quarter 2021-22 which constitutes 60% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of ₹588.56 Crores against target of ₹205 Crores which constitutes286%. 

The deposits of the banks in the District were to the tune of ₹3067 Crores as on March 31, 2022 compared to ₹2980 Crores as on March 31, 2021 thereby registering an increase of ₹87 Crores constituting 3%. 

The advances of the banks stood at ₹3496 Crores as on Msrch 31, 2022 against ₹3078 Crores as on March 31, 2021 thereby registering an increase of ₹418 Crores which works out to 14%. The CD ratio of the District as on March 31, 2022 stood at 114%.

The LDM further informed that Rs.895.25 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 45462 beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana Scheme with J & K Bank being the main contributor with 85% credit disbursement.

Regarding sponsoring of cases, it was informed that the District has already sanctioned 3838 cases under various govt sponsored schemes & disbursed Rs.140.76 Crore. Under the new KCC scheme for Animal husbandry, Sheep & Fisheries, the banks have sanctioned13108 cases & have disbursed Rs 52.87Crores to the beneficiaries.
