Police arrests 02 notorious drug peddlers in Pulwama

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested two notorious drug peddlers in Pulwama and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

Acting on specific information, that two individuals namely Javid Ahmad Sofi son of Ab Rehman Sofi and Mukhtar Ahmad Wani son of Sonaullah Wani, both residents of Goosu Pulwama are indulging in narcotics substances and has hoarded & concealed huge quantity of narcotic substances in the residential house of Javid Ahmad Sofi at Goosu Pulwama.  

Accordingly, a Police Party from Police Station Pulwama along with concerned Magistrate raided the specific house and recovered 105 Kgs of Fukki from the spot and arrested both the accused persons.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 185/22 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation has been initiated.Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
