DC, President MC demarcate site for Marriage Hall in Kupwara

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today visited the proposed construction site for Marriage Hall at Geerhati in Kupwara Municipal area.President, Municipal Council (MC), Kupwara, Reyaz Ahmad Mir;   Executive Engineer R&B, Mohammad Ramzan and other concerned officers were present at the occasion.

The proposed site for Marriage Hall was earmarked for the construction by DC in presence of President, MC Kupwara and the demarcation of the building was laid in front of the dignitaries.It was informed at the occasion that Marriage Hall will be a double storey building having built up area of 5500 square feet with extra features like waza shed etc. 

The total project cost is Rs.314.62 lacs and is being taken up by the R&B department under Urban Local Bodies scheme.On the occasion, the DC directed the Executive Engineer, R&B to start the work without losing any time and ensure its completion within one year. 

He said, on completion of this Marriage Hall, it will be the great facility available at Kupwara Municipal area.Khalid Jahangir said that Kupwara district is marching towards prosperity and the District Administration is committed to create and build up all infrastructural facilities in the district.
