Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today convened a Public Outreach Camp under “Weekly Block Divas programme here at Block Development Office Bari-Brahmana and listened to the issues and Development aspirations of Public representatives as well as the locals.

The Deputy Commissioner Samba asked the officers to take necessary action to resolve and address the public grievances noted in the   Block Diwas. She laid emphasis upon maintaining close coordination with PRI members for speedy redressal of the problems of the public, specially related to drinking water, power and Ration supply.

Among the issues raised on the occasion included nonpayment of RDD works, slow pace on allotted RDD works, shortage of drinking water, maintenance of power supply besides other issues related to Revenue, Social welfare and other Departments.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the district officers to take immediate corrective measures including making water tankers available, regular monitoring of power supply and assured to take up other grievances at appropriate platforms.

The DC Samba laid emphasis upon expediting the revenue department services delivery through online mode, including issuance of caste certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards etc.

Later, the DC also inspected the Amrit Sarovar Pond Works and directed the executing agency to adhere to the set timeline  and maintain the quality aspects of the works.Meanwhile, Block Diwas meetings were also held at Samba and Ghagwal Sub divisions under Nodal Officer ACR and SDM Ghagwal respectively.
