Anil Joshi Executes Third Party Inspection In Civil Works

Anil Joshi, Local Bodies Minister, Punjab has ordered to initiate Third Party Inspection in all civil works with a view to maintain the standard of civil works besides increasing the standard of quantity control. A high level team of selected officers of Local Bodies Department was dispatched to world renowned Sri Ram Institute of Laboratory, New Delhi to get the information and process of laboratory tests of material.The Minister informed that Major General Mr. V.K. Bhatt (Retd.), who is Technical Advisor to CM, was heading the team to know about the tests conducted before the commencement of project and during execution stage. Mr. Joshi said that information regarding cement testing, steel testing concrete testing, civil design test, cement pavers block test, and mortar etc. has been got by the team. He also informed that the Punjab government had sought the approval of institute to train the experts of department by organizing one day seminar for municipal engineers. He further said that it proves to be good step to improve standard of developmental work in state.
