The box office for actor Kamal Haasan's latest film Vikram, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya, is ringing. Over the weekend, it became Tamil Nadu's highest-grossing film of all time, surpassing SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film has already grossed more than 350 crores worldwide and is on its way to crossing the 400-crore milestone.

Based on the current trend, the trade expects the movie will retain the majority of screens even in its fourth week. If Vikram maintains this bullish run at the global box office till the end of its third week, it is likely to cross the Rs 400 crore mark. “If everyone should progress, you need a leader who doesn’t have to worry about the money. When I said that ‘I can earn Rs 300 crore in a snap’, nobody understood it. They thought that I was beating my chest. You can see now it’s coming (Vikram box office collection),” Kamal had said earlier while commenting on Vikram’s box office success.

It can be confirmed that #Vikram has broken all existing box-office records in #TamilNadu as it grosses ₹155Cr (share ₹80Cr approx) in 17 days & crosses the 5-year old record of #Baahubali2 (₹152Cr)! 👍🔥✔️#VikramAllTimeRecord #KamalHaasan pic.twitter.com/izAiFxemJK
