Urs Shah Fareed-ud-Din Sahib (RA): KDA hosts Mehfil e Qawali

Kishtwar Development Authority, in collaboration with District Administration, today organised a Mehfil-e-Qawali on the occasion of URS Shah Fareed-ud-Din sahib (RA), here at KV School.Renowned singers from the Chenab valley soothed the souls of the audience by presenting Sufi kalam.

The energetic performance by Qawwals and their calm take off with compositions based in classical music came as a kind of treat for  the music aficionados present in large numbers and bursting with wah, wahs.The event emerged as a befitting tribute to the composite cultural legacy of the district as well as the union Territory.

Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma presided over the event.Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal; CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Inderjeet Parihar; ACR  Varunjeet Charak; ACD  Atul Dutt Sharma; Account Officer DC office  Imran Ahmad Kichloo besides other district officers, staff of KDA and DC office, locals and music lovers also remained present on the occasion.
