In the midst of a global wheat scarcity caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, countries have taken a variety of measures to ensure food security for their citizens. As part of these steps, the United Arab Emirates has chosen not to re-export wheat imported from India. NDTV, on the other hand, chose to distort the story, reporting that the UAE had prohibited the import of Indian wheat.“Bharat se Ghenhu nehi mangayega UAE (UAE will not import wheat from India)”, reported NDTV India in Hindi.
However, while posting an entirely fake claim on Twitter, the linked report informs us that India has approved the export of wheat grain to the country for domestic use, and the UAE has further banned the re-export of the Indian wheat to other countries.
Here are the tweets by NDTV and Richa Chadha that went viral in no time.
The actress is now facing backlash and being trolled on the microblogging site Twitter, with netizens schooling her to at least read the news before making a false belief.

Chadha, in her knee-jerk reaction, had just assumed that the news meant one of the Gulf nations had just done something to harm India’s economic interests, something the Islamists and left-liberals keep dreaming of.
