DC Kathua flags-off rally to mark ‘World Bicycle Day’

Stresses on importance of cycling to safeguard health and environment

Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Pandey flagged-off a cycle rally organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports in collaboration with District Administration and Nehru Yuva Kendra to commemorate ‘World Bicycle Day’ from Sports Stadium Kathua in the wee hours today.

While interacting with participating cyclists, DC said that the objective of the rally was to encourage youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to channelise their energies in a better way. He urged the youth to continue cycling and motivate others too to adopt cycling as it also helps in keeping the environment safe and salubrious.The rally passed through key locations across Kathua town and culminated at Keerian Gandyal.
