DC Baramulla reviews overall Developmental Scenario of district

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of concerned officers at Dak Bungalow, here to take detailed review of the developmental progress in the district.During the meeting several aspects pertaining to overall socio-economic development were comprehensively discussed.On the occasion, all the departments presented the status of various developmental works undertaken in various sectors viz health, education, rural development, PDD etc by the concerned agencies.While taking a sector wise review of various major developmental works, the DC emphasized for adopting a coordinated approach for achieving the desired results.
She stressed to ramp up the pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed well within the stipulated time.Moreover, she urged the concerned officers to identify the bottlenecks, if any and bring them into the notice of District Administration so that they are sorted out as early as possible.Furthermore, the DC stressed the concerned officers of Jal Jeevan Mission and several other departments to Complete Deliverables according to a fixed timeline besides exhorted upon the concerned for effective implementation and coordination of the Mission Amrit Sarovar in the district aiming at developing and rejuvenating 75 water bodies in the district.
The DC also asked Revenue officers to make intensified efforts in land record digitization and directed all concerned officers to keep close vigil of the Government land and encroachments adding that it is their responsibility to safeguard the state land from encroachments.She also observed that providing hassle free and smooth public services by strengthening accountability and transparency in official functioning is the top most priority of her administration. She added that effective public service delivery and robust grievance redressal mechanism is the cornerstone of a welfare administration.
Meanwhile, DC sought cooperation from the concerned officers for developing the district from different perspectives pertaining to developmental concerns. She added that her focus shall remain on providing efficient and prompt public services besides establishing a vigor and effective grievance redressal mechanism.Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parveez Sajad, Joint Director Planning M Yosuf Rather, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
