Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) President Engineer Rashid unfurled the National Flag of Kashmir and celebrated the National Anthem of Kashmir by on-spot recitation of it at historical Municipal Park Srinagar. Soon after his speech Er Rashid hoisted the national flag and tears rolled from eyes of Engineer Rashid when National Song of Kashmir was being sung and atmosphere turned quiet emotive. In his speech Er Rashid revealed the historic facts regarding how New Delhi has managed to dilute the identity of Kashmiri's and has violated not only the terms of instrument of accession but also made insertions in the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. Pertinently, it was on June 7th , 1952 that the State of Jammu &Kashmir had its own national song and Flag passed via assembly.Pertinently, the event was attended by an impressive audiences belonging to all walks of life.
Engineer Rashid started the his speech by reciting a famous poetic collection of renowned poet of Sub-Continent Habib Jalib with the verses 'Zulum be rahe aur aman be ho, kiya mumkin hai tumhi kaho.' “The nation of Kashmir should revive its historical unique identity as we are one of the oldest civilization of world .Indian state has eroded the special status and guarantees guaranteed to Kashmir via constitution. We need to get back our lost identities then only we can strengthen our cause. Final peace can only be achieved when Kashmir Dispute is solved in a just manner. We are celebrating June 7th as National day and will continue to celebrate it in coming years so that we regain our lost glory. This day should serve as a tough message to Central government over its misadventures on article 370,” stated Engineer Rashid. He demanded that the 7th June be declared as national day and also a state holiday.
“Scotland and Ireland regained its lost glory by bringing into fore the importance of National anthem and National Flag and Kashmir has to follow same path .BJP has served 15 days ultimatum to Bangladeshi refuges to leave Assam and is in hypocrite manner talking of granting refugee status to refuges in Jammu which we would never ever allow to happen. If we fail to preserve our National and Cultural identities we would be like Assam pided into many states as a conspiracy is on to eschew Ladakh from Kashmir which otherwise has been integral part of Kashmir,” added Engineer Rashid.“Those areas which have surrendered their basic identities have been made refugees in their own land and it is a historical fact which Kashmiris should bear in mind,” observed Engineer Rashid.
