The land of Kashmir belongs to every citizen of Kashmir and our Pandit brethren are Inseparable component of our land and life. Every Kashmiri desires and wishes early return of these brethren to their homes so that our nation gets rid of its Imperfection,” this was stated by the chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik while talking to Kashmiri Pandits who have reached to attend famous Mela Khirbawani at Tulmulla Ganderbal.According to a statement issued, Malik was accompanied by a delegation which comprised of JKLF leaders Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Jamal,Bashir Ahmad Rather Boya , Gayas ud din and shahid Makya etc. on his arrival Yasin Malik was accorded a warm welcome by Pandit elders, sisters; youth etc.

Welcoming pundits to valley, Malik met them one by one and asked about their welfare. He also visited the camp where these pundits were residing. On the occasion Yasin sahib while warmly welcoming these brothers and sisters said that pundits are an inalienable part of our life and soul and we have come here to assure them that every Kashmiri wants and desires their early return to Kashmir so that our nation gets rid of its Imperfection .Yasin said that pundits have equal right to live here as Muslims have and it is our religious duty to safeguard their rights.

Malik said that our religion and beloved prophet Muhammad SAW taught us tolerance, equality, justice, Religious harmony and respecting others. He said that Kashmir is and has been a living example of religious tolerance and harmony and we Kashmiris will never like to abandon this jewel of ours. While recalling the history of great victory of Jerusalem (Bait-ul-Maqadas) by Muslim troops, Malik said that our beloved prophet (SAW) taught us to respect the religious places and religious rituals of others and his great companion and Caliph Hazrat Umar (RAH) practically showed this on the occasion of victory of Jerusalem (Bait Ul Maqadas).

Hazrat Umar granted concessions to Christians and Jews and wrote a Testament with his own hands guaranteeing Jews and Christians the rights, freedom and protection of life, wealth, Churches and The Cross. Umar (RAH) wrote that no one will interfere in their religious affairs; no one will forcefully occupy their religious places of worship, no will demolish these places or inflict any damage to them. Yasin said, that when Christians invited him to offer Nimaz in their Church, Umar (RAH) refused saying that Muslims coming after him may claim a right to pray there and expel Christians from these places .

Yasin Malik said this is our religion and teachings of our elders and this is because we are here assuring every Pandit brother and sister that our religion and way of life may differ but our soul and blood as a human is same.Malik said that it is the wish and desire of every Kashmiri to see our Pandit brothers, sisters, youth and children back in their homes and localities and no ruler or nation can stop them from returning back or impose his will and decision on them in this regard.
