Amberdeep Singh Gives Update On Upcoming Film ‘Jodi’ Starring Diljit Dosanjh & Nimrat Khaira

Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khiara who have already touched the heart-string of fans with their respective films, songs, and albums are all set to share the screen space with the film ‘Jodi’. The upcoming film is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Previously, the film was slated to release in June 2022. But now makers have changed their minds. Yes, there’s a slight change in the release date. Instead of releasing in Summer, the film is scheduled to release in Winter. The confirmation has been given by director Amberdeep Singh through his Instagram post. This post of Amberdeep has given a ray of hope that the film will finally release in theatres.Earlier it has been reportedly claimed that the film might not release due to Diljit Dosanjh’s biopic of Amar Singh Chamkila. While sharing the still from the film, Singh wrote, “Jodi, releasing in winter 2022 … jina ne banai aa oh release v karnge so don’t worry… oh gal alag aa aa munde de muchhan aa gaiyan hongiyan… per ikk gal pakki aa jis din aagi .. chheti jandi nahi … changiyan cheezan nu time lagda”. He further added and urge the audience to watch Saunkan Saunkne and penned that “odon tak vekho saunkan saunkne .. packed houses everywhere … … bade time baad koi film ai aa jine sahi maneyan ch darshkan de dil jitey aa .. going to become biggest grosser of punjabi cinema … poori team nu ik vaar fer mubarakbaad”.
Written and directed by Amberdeep Singh, the movie is being bankrolled by Amrinder Gill and Karaj Gill. It was supposed to be released in 2020 but the pandemic led to a change of plan. Speaking of the film Jodi, it is reportedly a period-based drama with the right mix of comedy, romance, and substantial content. Reports also suggest that music will be the USP of this movie. Now, fans are really waiting for the winter as with the fresh on-screen couple, the audience will definitely witness something huge.
