Badal To Regularly Visit Delhi For Seeking Support To Develop Punjab

Reiterating his firm commitment to boost the overall development of the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced that he would regularly meet the Union Ministers in New Delhi after every week or fortnight to seek their support and cooperation in various developmental projects. interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of the Sangat Darshan program of the Talwandi Sabo assembly segment here today, the Chief Minister said that funds under the various central schemes needs to be roped in for accelerating the pace of development in the state, for which the state government would not leave any stone unturned. Badal said that he would regularly pay visit to the Central Ministers in New Delhi after every week or fortnight to solicit their support to make Punjab a leading state in the country. He said that the state has suffered adversely due to the step motherly treatment meted out by the Congress led UPA Government but with the formation of the NDA government at the centre the allround, development of the state would get a major boost. 

The Chief Minister further said that he would soon call on the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and submit a comprehensive plan for giving a major fillip to the overall development of the state. Mr. Badal said that he had already asked the officers of the state government to prepare a detailed plan regarding the development of the state, to be submitted to the Prime Minister, so that maximum benefit could be taken from the grants under the various central schemes. Earlier addressing the gathering during the Sangat Darshan program in Shergarh, Bhagwangarh, Dunewala, Malwala, Manwala, Sukhladdi, Baagha, Kamaalu and Phulokhaari villages, the Chief Minister said that during his entire life he had fought for safeguarding the interests of the state and its people adding that he would continue this struggle forever. Mr. Badal further said that the single point agenda of his government was to give boost to the development of the state. He said that whenever people respond positively to the developmental works conducted by the government, then it fills a lot of enthusiasm in the government to work more hard for cherishing the aspirations of the people.Training his guns against PPP leader Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, the Chief Minister said that though the Shiromani Akali Dal had honored him by giving coveted posts like that MLA and Finance Minister but he had stabbed his mother party by joining hands with the Congress. He said that it was unfortunate that Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal had joined hands with the party of perpetrators of the attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib and the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Mr. Badal reminded the former Finance Minister that the misrule of Congress for more than 60 years had aggravated the woes of common man. 

The Chief Minister said that by joining hands with the Congress party Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal had not only deceived the Shiromani Akali Dal but all the residents of the state. He said that nothing else could be expected from a person like the former Finance Minister, who had not ditched his own party. Mr. Badal said that the Congress has adopted the policy of pide and rule to weaken the SAD and Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal had fallen prey to it. Thanking the people for reposing their faith in the policies of the SAD time and again, the Chief Minister said that Akali Dal would always work hard to protect the interests of the state and its people. He said that the Lok Sabha MP from Bathinda Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal had always raised the voice of Punjab vehemently in the Parliament adding that after her elevation as Minister in Union Cabinet the state would be immensely benefitted. The Chief Minister was accompanied by former MLA Mr. Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, his Special Principal Secretary Mr. KJS Cheema and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Basant Garg.
