Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri holds public outreach camp at Terayth

'Rs 70 crore schemes sanctioned for Mougla Block under JJM mission'

To take firsthand account of public grievances, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today held a public outreach camp here at Terayth under the   Weekly Block Diwas program.The public and panchayat representatives apprised the DDC about a number of issues and demands of their areas. They demanded new road projects, up-gradation of schools, better health services, paucity of staff in Government institutions and other related issues.Specific issues included sanctioning of GDC for Teryath, meeting shortage of electric Poles, release of installment under Awaas plus, blacktopping of Teryath Sunderbani road, provision of PHE pipes, protection works alongside rivers, opening of Ration store at Teryath etc.

Other issues included posting of Gynaecologist in PHC Teryath, meeting shortage of staff in educational institutions, forest clearance issues, augmentation of drinking water supply, BT of internal roads, repair of school buildings, bringing Gulab Garh fort on tourism map etc.Some more issues were deployment of PAA to the concerned Panchayats, early start of capex works, repair of PMGSY roads like Sailssui to Kabber and up-gradation of transformer, Receiving Station for Teryath, blacktopping of Moughla to Kurlian road, Bus stand for Teryath etc.The officers of different departments also replied to the queries raised by the public during the event and also educated them about the schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands projected by locals and assured that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.Addressing the public during the event, the DDC reiterated that the District Administration was making untiring efforts to provide all basic facilities to the common masses at their doorsteps and redress the grievances timely.The DDC also highlighted the Amrit Sarovar scheme and said that 3 ponds have been identified for renovation in Moughla Block. He also said the schemes worth Rs 70 crore have been sanctioned for the Mougla Block under JJM mission.Similar programmes were also held at all Block Headquarters.
