Mirwaiz Umar Farooq asked Iran to play role in K-resolution

Iran’s ambassador spoke over advantages of Iran gas pipeline

Chairman Huriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday stated that Iran must play a vital role vis-à-vis Kashmir resolution as the country has good relations with both India and Pakistan.Mirwaiz while speaking at a seminar organized by Anjuman-e-Share-Shia at a local hotel here, commemorating 25th anniversary of Imam Ayatullah Khumaini stressed that Kashmir resolution must be resolved in accordance to the wishes and aspiration of the people of Kashmir. The seminar also witnessed the participation of Iran’s ambassador to India, Ghulam Raza Ansari as the chief guest.Mirwaiz while speaking in a seminar remarked that the for the sustainable peace in south Asia, Kashmir resolution is the need of the hour and that Iran can play vital role to urge upon both India and Pakistan to resolve Kashmir for the sustainable peace in the entire region. “The people of Kashmir are not against any country not have any enmity against the people of any region. We are demanding our birth right and will continue to strive for the same till we achieve it.”Paying glorious tributes to Imam Ayatullah Khumaini, Kashmir’s chief religious cleric stated that Iran’s father of revolution made Islam as the very base of the political struggle and the method adopted by him is remarkable and eternal in history of the modern world.  

Iran’s ambassador to India, Ghulam Raza Ansari while speaking in the seminar stated that  Imam Ayatullah Khumaini has been a symbol of unity in the Muslim world and if his stand and approach is adopted at present, the crises perturbing the Muslims will end at large.The ambassador also spoke about the benefits of the Iran gas pipe line and also besides the economic advantages of the project; the pipeline shall bring the three countries, Iran, Pakistan and India closer. “The basic reason for this pipeline is to bring the three countries closer and for the sustainable peace in the regions, the better relations is the need of the hour. ” In his inaugural address, Anjuman-e-Share-Shia chief Aga Syed Hassan while paying tributes to Imam Ayatullah Khumaini remarked that had Iman been alive and witnessed the struggle for freedom of the people of Kashmir, he would have extended huge help for the ‘suppressed nation’. Advocate Zahid Ali, representing Jamat-e-Islami , besides others also paid tributes to Iran’s revolutionary leader.

Meanwhile, in connection with the observance of 25 death anniversary of the founder of Islamic revolution in Iran, Aytoullah Ali Khomenai, Iranian Ambassdor Ghulam Raza Ansari, who is currently on a visit to Kashmir, along with the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior Hurriyat leader Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi offered prayers at historic Jamia Masjid. While welcoming the Iranian ambassador to Kashmir, Mirwaiz mentioned the age old relationship between Iran and Kashmir in areas of culture, tradition, and people to people contacts.  Mirwaiz led the afternoon prayers during which the Iranian delegation and senior hurriyat leaders participated. While lauding the uniqueness, art, and crafts of the historic Jamia masjid, the Iranian ambassador stated that Masjid was an important asset of Islamic ummah. The delegates minutely observed the art, architecture and wood work used in the Masjid from internal and external sides of the masjid.Meanwhile, Anjumane-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid while welcoming the delegates, apprised the Iranian delegation about the history and construction of the Masjid. They also produced the documents published by Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulna Mohammad Farooq Sahib (RA) regarding the Islam and Islamic history in Kashmir.
