Former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni has a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu. ever since he was a part of Chennai Super Kings, people from the South showered immense love for the cricketer and there has been no looking back.Fondly referred to as ‘Thala’ or leader in Tamil, MS Dhoni, who has retired from international cricket, has reportedly said that he is planning to play only a few more seasons of IPL for the Chennai Super Kings. However, his connection with Tamil Nadu is apparently going to continue.It has been reported that he will be making his connection more strong with Tamil. As Dhoni will make his Kollywood entry soon as a producer. The source added that Captain Cool has hired Sanjay, a close aide of superstar Rajnikanth for his maiden venture. Not only this, Lady Superstar Nayanthara is said to be playing the female lead in the cricketer’s first production and an official announcement is expected after the current season of the IPL.However, earlier he vividly promoted the biopic which was made on him, titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
The movie featured late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in a lead role and was directed by Neeraj Pandey. The movie was also released in the Tamil language at that time and it even received impressive responses from the audience.Now, speaking of the film front, the former cricketer will be seen in the sci-fi 'Atharva - The Origin'. Dhoni unveiled that it was a dream project close to his heart. Ramesh Thamilmani is the author of this much-anticipated graphic novel featuring ‘Thala’ Dhoni.
