Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh.. Anil Vij said that medical colleges make doctors, Geeta makes human beings, without becoming human, treatment cannot be done.  The demand for Indian doctors in foreign countries has increased and everyone wants that Indian doctor should treat him.  The doctor is considered to be a god, so along with the medicine, the doctor should encourage by talking sweetly with the patient, which is above the medicine of crores of rupees.Home and Health Minister Anil Vij was addressing a seminar on 'Role of Gita for Health Professionals' organized by Jio Geeta in Educational Block of Geeta Gyanam Sansthanam under the Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav  in Kurukshetra today.

He said that Kurukshetra is a religious city, here Lord Krishna had preached the Gita, Gita teaches knowledge and many important things have been told in the Gita and on path we all have to work.  He said that at the time of Covid, doctors have played a very important role and lives of many people have been saved from their hands, cases of covid are increasing in many districts, so wear masks and follow social distancing and wash hands frequently.  The state government is fully prepared to deal with covid, all types of facilities are available.

Naresh Trehan, CMD, Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, who arrived as a special guest on the occasion, said that it is his great privilege to come to this holy land of Geeta.  He said that only a glimpse of the land of Gita opens the way for human welfare.  Gita is such a book, which is very useful for the whole world and humanity.  Gita guides us to emerge from any negative situation in life.  The Gita is a religious text, which has been translated into the largest number of languages in the world.  In today's era, the new generation is getting away from the rituals.  Knowledge of Gita will bring sanskars in the new generation and a civilized society will be established.

In the seminar, Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand ji said that Gita is not for a particular religion but is the universal inspiration of all beings.  Kurukshetra is the holy land of India.  Here one gets freedom from water, land and air.  India has been recognized as a world guru in culture and civilization since ages.  While Gita is the heritage of India, it is also a role model for the world.    The teachings of Lord Shri Krishna are in the holy book Gita, which is very important for human beings.  Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is currently attracting the attention of people not only in India but also abroad for its philosophical approach towards life more than religion, he added.The seminar was also addressed by Dr. Markande Ahuja, former VC of Gurugram University, Dr. Professor Arvind Kumar from Medanta, Dr. Punita Hasija, Head of Haryana IMA, Dr. Rajesh Puri from Medanta, Dr. Sushila Kataria.
