Punjab Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Mr Bram Shanker Jimpa today unexpectedly checked the Suwidha Kendra at the local District Administrative Complex.  He said that the Suwidha Kendras operating in the state will provide hassle-free services to the people and would not be allowed to become Dubidha Kendras. He said that the purpose of his surprise visit today was to get to know the problems of the people at the grass-root level.  That is why he checked Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) yesterday and Suwidha Kendra in Moga today.  He said that after coming here it was learned that it takes a long time for people to avail services at Suwidha Kendras.  Regarding this Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh and other officials informed that due to staff and some other shortcomings some services are delayed. Which will be rectified soon. 

Mr Jimpa directed the in-charge of Suwidha Kendra not to let the people here get hassle.  All this work should be supervised by senior officers themselves.  Counters should be extended to provide services to the people within the stipulated time frame.  He clarified that corruption in government offices would not be tolerated at all. He said that the dealing of officers and employees with the general public should be supportive.  Boards should be put up at various places regarding the time limit for receiving services.  There should be separate queues for women and the elderly.  He assured that for the convenience of the people the closed Sewa Kendras would be reopened as required.He said that the Deputy Commissioner has been asked to send the investigation report of the alleged fraud in the registries in the city of Moga by April 21. Decision on the matter will be taken based on this report. Mrs Amandeep Kaur Arora MLA of Moga and others were also present on the occasion.
