Surprise Check; 21 Employees Found Absent In Animal Husbandry Department

21 employees of different branches were found absent during a surprise checking conducted by the senior officer of the Animal Husbandry Department,. The surprise check was conducted by the Secretary of the department on the instructions of the Gurzar Singh Ranike, Minister for Animal Husbandry to ensure punctuality and accountability of employees towards their duty and general public. The Minister has issued instructions to seek explanation from the erring employees and initiate departmental disciplinary proceedings against them.Disclosing this here today, Mr. Ranike said that this initiative has been taken to ensure the attendance of the employees at the offices so as to accelerate the service delivery mechanism. He said that he has already instructed the Secretary to ensure timeline for disposal of official files and asked him to work out a computerized monitoring system to keep a check on their working.

He said that he has instructed Mr. V.K. Meena, Secretary of the Department to conduct the surprise check of the total 13 branches of the Directorate, Animal Husbandry at Sector-17. He said that during the checking 21 employees of 8 branches were found absent, which included; Krishan Gopal, Kiran Bala, Jaspreet Kaur and Kunji Ram (all SA) and Clerk Sarvpreet Singh of Establishment Branch-1, Avtar Singh and Sangeeta Sharma (both SA), Gurdarshan Singh Clerk, Sarbjeet Singh, Mechanic and Peon Ashwani Kumar of Supdt. Estt-2 branch, Manjinder Singh and Sarjotpal Singh (both Clerk) of Planning Branch, Baljeet Singh, SA, Sandeep Kumar, Clerk and Peon Sukhpreet Singh of PLD Branch, Peon Santosh Kumari of Development Branch, Jaswinder Singh, Computer Enumerator and Peon Parkash Chand of Statistical Branch, Balwinder Singh, Driver of Poultry & Piggery Branch and Shamsher Singh, SA and Clerk Sandeep Sandhu of  Accounts Branch.He said that it has also come to the notice that although all senior officers were present, but they have not marked their attendance as no attendance register was maintained for them. Mr. Ranike instructed the Director to maintain a separate register in his office for marking daily presence of the senior officers.He further issued strict advisory for the employees of the department to be present in the office from 9 am to 5 pm and discharge their duty with full dedication and diligence. He said that the surprise checking would also be continued in future.
