Students felicitated on return from Sadbhavna tour at Ramgarh

A  Sadbhavna Tour of a  group of 17 children of borer areas of Samba including 5 Girls and  2 teachers was  today flagged in here at Ramgarh.The educational, Cultural and Motivational tour of students to Delhi and Agra was held under the aegis of the Tiger Division Jammu and in collaboration with District Administration Samba.The tour was flagged off by GOC, Tiger Division on 29th Nov and the students visited important cultural and national heritage sites in Delhi and Agra.The tour aimed to motivate students from remote areas to get a first hand feel of culturally rich places of our country and also motivate them to join the armed feelings. The tour also aimed at spreading a message of Goodwill about the Genuine Efforts being undertaken by the Indian Army in developing the youth of the region.

During their stay at Delhi and Agra, the group visited various Educational institutes like National Science Centre, Nehru Planetarium Archeological and Cultural Heritage sites like Qutub Minar, Zoological Park, Taj Mahal, Agra and Delhi Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. They also attended a cultural Light and sound show at Akshardham, Delhi. *Weapon and Eqpt Display* was also organized by the Army for the Group during their stay at Agra.Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, while felicitating the students said that such tours provide exposure to the youth and  channelize their energy in a constructive manner. The DC said that District Administration Samba, in collaboration with Army, has undertaken various projects and progammes including coaching classes for admission in Sainik School, Military School & RMIC, interaction progamme, KNOW Your Army progamme, Recruitment coaching progamme for Border Youths, and others.
