DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for Armed Forces Flag Day Fund

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din who is also President, Zila Sanik Welfare Board and Chairman of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund today convened a meeting of members of District Sanik Welfare Board to review the arrangements for making contribution towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.The meeting held a threadbare discussion and it was given out that in order to create awareness amongst citizens about welfare of defence services and to raise funds for Armed Forces Flag Day Fund a run shall be organised in Kupwara Town on 7th of this month.It was also given out that a list of most deserving ex-servicemen and their dependents especially from handicapped category shall be identified so that they are encouraged by giving them some relief items and assistance out of AFFD Fund.
