DC Doda reviews status of NHIDCL projects

Asks for employing maximum number of locals in ongoing projects

District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a  meeting  of key officials of NHIDCL, Revenue Department and  Contractor firms to review the status of the ongoing   projects and the bottlenecks, if any.During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to publishing of 3Gs, performance in execution of different projects, employment avenues for the locals, besides other issues.With regard to the slide prone area in Hambal, the DDC directed NHIDCL to submit fresh indent for land acquisition and fast pace work on the remaining portion.

While discussing the placement of locals at different levels, the DDC directed the NHIDCL to submit Contractor company wise list of workers employed from within the district, from outside district and outside UT to enable the administration to assess the exact number and profile of jobs given to the locals.The DDC directed NHIDCL to give first priority to the locals and from the adjoining areas as per the requirement of the concerned agency.The DDC also asked the ACR to furnish the list of places proposed for development of playfields under Corporate Social Responsibility by the NHIDCL.The meeting was attended by ACR Doda, GM NHIDCL, Tehsildar Doda, Tehsildar HQA, besides representatives of the contracting agencies.
