CGC Jhanjeri organised International Diplomat Meet 2021

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri staged the International Diplomat Meet 2021. The big event saw the convergence of Diplomats from 11+ countries  and discussed  problems  faced by  International Students in India .Diplomats from Royan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, South Sudan, Zambia, Kenya, Namibia attended the event .Cabinet Minister  Raj Kumar Verka was Chief Guest at the moment . The event commenced with speeches made by Prof. Nabhit Kapur, Ambassabor to Royan in India, Ashutoush, Spokesperson to Consulate to Royan, Mansingh, Spokesperson from Norway,  Mwitumwa, Secretary to High Commission, Zambia, Anoh Kouassi Martin, Counsellor in Charge of Counsular Dept., . Dijanou Martinr, Education Divison Country Ivory Coast,  Lazer, Education attaché South Sudan,  Esther Karema Mutua, Education attaché, High Commissioner, Kenya High Commission, Annie K. Naanda, First Secretary to High Commission of Namibia and Sediqullah Sahar, Education attaché, Afghanistan.

They raised issues or problems faced by African students who are studying in India, including first the language barrier, the cultural shock and financial constraints to complete their studies   . CGC Jhanjeri’s Associate Director, Marketing and Business Development  Sahil Kapoor assured all the diplomats that no such problems are and will be face by students here as regular checks in classrooms  are made to make sure that none of the academic staff is imparting education in local language. Taking up the issue of financial constraints, he informed that the college awards scholarships and easy loan facilities to deserving and financially constrained students. According to him  CGC Jhanjeri has taken up all the adequate measures to provide a hassle free study environment to international students.Later, all the diplomats and Chief Guest headed to auditorium and were entertained with  colourful cultural event including classical dance, contemporary dance and bhangra. The eye-catching  performance  was dance  by international students on Punjabi song. At the conclusion  the chief guest Cabinet Minister  Raj Kumar Verka expressed his delight that diplomats of various countries discussed requirements for world-class education ,  global competencies  and international benchmarking of education for  students . Speaking on the occasion,  Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that the progress of India only depends on strengthening  education system and  stress should be given on  building  stronger education systems.
