DC Poonch reviews progress on disposal of claims under FRA in the district

To review the progress regarding the disposal of claims under Forest Right Act in the district, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today convened a meeting of the concerned officers here in his office chamber.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar, DFO, Mohan Lal,  Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, SDM Mendhar, Dr. Sahil Jandiyal, SDM Surankote, Naheem un Nissa Bhatti, Headquarter Assistant, Jahangir Hussain, District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed and other concerned officers.

A threadbare discussion on progress on disposal of claims under the forest right act was held wherein the concerned officers of Forest, Revenue and RDD apprised the meeting about the current status and other related necessities with regard to its implementation at grassroots level.The Deputy Commissioner also asked the concerned officers to ensure that the act is  implemented in letter and spirit in the district and all rights and genuine concerns of the forest dwellers are properly taken care of.Directions were issued for the examination of all the genuine claims by the sub divisional level committee received under FRA and submission of the same at the earliest in the office of the Deputy Commissioner for disposal by district level committee.
