Punjab Chief Minister  Parkash Singh Badal today directed the State DGP Mr. Sumedh Singh Saini to get all the alleged cases ofvendetta politics against Congress leaders and workers as highlighted by the Leader of the Opposition in State Legislative Assembly, Mr.Sunil Kumar Jakhar, probed by an officer of the rank of DIG level. In a statement made by the Chief Minister on the floor of House on

the issue of vendetta politics and registration of false cases against the Congressmen, Mr. Badal assured the Leader of Opposition that he had already forwarded the list of such cases submitted by Mr. Jakhar to the DGP and ordered him to get the entire matter enquired under his direct supervision and submit the report within 15 days.   He also asked the DGP to keep abreast of the report and the subsequent action taken on it to Mr. Jakhar.  Mr. Badal reiterated that he had always held the opposition in high esteem and his party and government never believed in vendetta politics adding that abiding by law of the land was their ‘Raj Dharma’.
