Delegation meets MP Manish Tewari over delay in LOI and allotments by GMADA

A delegation of villages in the area demanding issuance of LOI and allotment letter for allotment of land acquired by Greater Mohali Area Development Authority for setting up of Aerocity Mohali, today met member of Lok Sabha from Sri Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari and raised the issue of harassment of villagers due to delay.The delegation included Sarpanch, Panch, Lambardar and landowners of various villages of the constituency like Manouli, Chon Majra, Saini Majra, Sion, Bari, Bakarpur etc. They alleged that 151 acres of land had been acquired for setting up Aerocity Mohali and as a compensation under the Land Pooling Scheme adopted then, a plot under commercial / residential site was to be given. They alleged that so far some LOI letters have been issued for commercial sites of 100 square yards. However, many of the small landowners who own less than one acre have not been issued LOIs for commercial sites.MP Tewari gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the people of the constituency would not be allowed to face any problem. “I will personally take up the matter with the concerned authority so that the people get their due” assured Manish Tewari .Besides others, Mr. Manjot Singh Secretary Punjab Youth Congress, Mr. Harman Singh from village Manouli, Mr. Satbir Singh Lambardar from village Manouli, Mr. Sukhbir Singh from village Chon Majra, Mr. Gurinder Singh from village Saini Majra, Mr. Amar Singh Lambardar from village Sion and Mr. Jaswant Singh were also present in the delegation.
