DC Kathua Rahul Yadav reviews Independence Day arrangements

District Development Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day, 2021.In the meeting, it was decided that the main function would be held at Sports Stadium, where the VIP will unfurl the National Flag at 08:55 am and inspect the Parade comprising contingents of PTS, DPL, CRPF, IRP, Home Guard, NCC Junior and Senior Division of Schools and Colleges besides band of Police Training School.The celebrations on the day will begin with the playing of ‘Shehnai Vadan’ and patriotic songs by the Information Department in the wee hours at the Deputy Commissioner Office and SSP Office Kathua.The DDC directed the concerned departments to ensure all the arrangements related to security, sanitation, seating, barricading, drinking water supply, uninterrupted electricity, prize distribution, invitation cards, transportation, and illumination of important buildings.

Regarding presentation of cultural programme, the DDC directed the concerned committee members to prepare the cultural presentations on the theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ with innovative ideas.The CEO MC was directed to ensure illumination of important government buildings and prominent locations of the city as part of the celebrations. He was also directed to install flexes and hoarding on the theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ at important public points.The CMO was directed to make provision of medical team, ambulance and thermal scanning at the venue and entry of the participants and visitors strictly as per the Covid protocols.The DDC exhorted the members of different committees constituted for different activities to start the preparations well in advance so that national function could be celebrated with traditional fervor.Rahul Yadav directed district officers to hold cleanliness and plantation drives at all government office before 15th August and ensure compliance of the instructions of the government to hoist National Flag at every government office on Independence Day.SSP, R.C Kotwal; ADDC  Puneet Sharma; ADC Atul Gupta; CPO Uttam Singh, District Officers of different departments were also present.
