DDC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma reviews progress of PMGSY roads, RDD projects

To review the physical and financial status of the works under PMGSY and RDD sector, District Development Commissioner, Ashok Sharma today chaired a series of meetings of the concerned officers  here at the conference Hall DC office Complex Mini secretariat.ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; SDM Chattoo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi; SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak: DFO Kishtwar, Sagar Singh; DFO Vijay Kumar; ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch; Concerned BDOs, XEns besides contractors attended the meeting.During the meeting the Sub-Division wise detailed review of the PMGSY roads undertaken under phase I and Phase II were taken.Threadbare discussion was held on pending structure compensation, estimation of land compensation, forest clearance of various roads, alignment issues etc.The DC Kishtwar exhorted all the indenting and executing agencies to expedite the pace of work and adhere to the timeline set for the completion of these Roads.He stressed for adopting the target specific approach in the effective completion of works and directed XEns to set the fortnightly targets for the same.

He further directed the XEns to work in tandem with the PRIs to monitor the pace and quality of works at grass roots level.Expressing dissatisfaction over the dismal performance in the completion of various roads in far flung areas, he asked the contractors to mobilise men and machinery to expedite work & make up for time-lapse on account of pandemic and bad weather conditions. He directed all the XEns to complete the bridge work on priority basis in their respective jurisdiction.Meanwhile, in another meeting, the DC reviewed the functioning of Rural Development Department,The DDC Kishtwar asked the BDOs to complete the identification, estimation and tendering of works on immediate basis.He directed against taking up individual Oriented works   under Area development plan and to ensure that no bill was drawn without the inspection of concerned BDOs at the work site.He also directed the ACD Kishtwar to ensure the  geo-tagging of the works under execution and those completed.He further directed the BDOs to ensure that job cards are issued in favour of the eligible and genuine beneficiaries only and to weed out those issued to ineligible persons.The DC Kishtwar further asked ACD to expedite the   construction of Panchayat ghars at designated places.
