Governor and Chief Minister express grief over bus mishap

As per the reports, reaching at the State headquarters, as many as 32 persons have been killed and over dozen injured when a private bus carrying them fell into river Beas between Jhari and Nagwain in Mandi district today. The ill fated bus was on its way from Kullu to Ani. As per the initial reports, there were around 45 to 50 passengers travelling in the bus. 

Governor, Smt. Urmila Singh and Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra have expressed grief over the accident and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. 

Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the victims and the kin of those who died in the mishap. He directed to carry out relief and rescue operations on war footing. SP Mandi Shri R.S. Negi and ADM Mandi Shri Pankaj Rai rushed to the spot to monitor relief and rescue operations. Meanwhile, district administration has announced Rs. 15,000 each as immediate relief to the kin of deceased and Rs. 5000 to the injured.

Bali, Transport Minister, Shri Sujan Singh Pathania, MPP and Power Minister, Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Forest Minister, Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister, Shri Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister, Shri Prakash Chaudhary, Excise and Taxation Minister, Shri Dhani Ram Shandil, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Shri Anil Sharma, Rural Development Minister, Shri Jagat Singh Negi, Deputy Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Shri Vinay Kumar and Shri Neeraj Bharati, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, Shri Karan Singh, MLA have also expressed grief over the bus accident.
