Maluka Hands Over Regularisation Orders To 7654 Teachers

Sikander Singh Maluka, Education Minister, Punjab handed over regularization orders to 7654 teachers at a function organized here today after regularizing their services.Giving details of the teaching/non-teaching staff whose services were regularized, Maluka said that out of total 7654 teachers, 424 Math teachers, 649 Punjabi, 155 Science Masters, 249 Art and Craft, 96 Library Restorers, 168 SLA and 256 Lecturers have been given regularization orders. He also said that the services of remaining teaching and non teaching staff would be regularized by April 6 and their appointment letters would be sent to the District Education Officers concerned.

Congratulating the newly regularized teachers, Maluka said that due to the efforts of the teaching and non teaching staff, Punjab has touched newer heights in the academic arena. Adding further he said that the schools producing good academic results would be honored on 15 August this year. The Punjab government would also fill the vacant posts at the earliest besides ensuring the adequate infrastructure and essential amenities in the government schools.The Minister also announced the summer vacations commencing from June 1 to June 30, 2014.Prominent amongst those who were present on the occasion included Mrs. Anjali Bhawara, Principal Secretary Education, Mrs. Parampal Kaur, ASPD, Mr. Kamal Garg DPI Senior Secondary and DPI Elementary Darshan Kaur.
