More mobile vaccination camps organized for industry at Gadaipur and Focal Point

After the first mobile vaccination camp at an industrial unit at Focal Point, more such camps have been organized on Wednesday at Gadaipur and Focal Point to ensure maximum participation of industrial workforce in inoculation drive.Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the initiative was taken to provide vaccination facilities to eligible beneficiaries of our industry at their doorstep. He said that the first camp was launched yesterday which witnesses immense success with inoculation of hundreds of workers from local industry. Similarly, two camps were held today to bring beneficiaries under the ambit this drive adding more camps to be organized in coming days. He mentioned that in today's camp a large number of workers across industries were vaccinated besides on the spot registration facilities.Mr. Thori solicited industries' support in making vaccination drive a mega success in Jalandhar while urging them to encourage their eligible workforce to come forward for the inoculation. He said that from April, 1 person aged 45 and above can receive a vaccine jab as the government has removed the condition of co-morbidity for people of this age group.The deputy commissioner further asked the health and industry department to continue with such exclusive camps for industry in coming days to cover maximum workers under this drive. He also appealed to all the industries to play a proactive role in this campaign so that the safety of their workforce from this virus could be ensured at the earliest.
