BJP’s Chandigarh unit rejoices resounding victory of Kirron Kher

Chandigarh’s newly elected MP of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kirron Kher registered the victory by securing 1,91,362 votes. On this occasion while addressing the party cadre at BJP’s office Kamlam, in Sector 33, Kirron Kher said that the victory would not have been possible without the hard work of party workers. She thanked the senior leaders, party cadre and city residents for their invaluable support.“I will stay in Chandigarh and we will put united efforts towards the betterment of the city. Besides, I will focus on fulfilling the promises made by the party”, she added.
The BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon also expressed gratitude towards the people of Chandigarh for expressing faith in the BJP and electing Kirron Kher as MP for the city beautiful. He said that Kirron Kher has emerged as a new ray of hope for Chandigarh by putting brakes on fifteen years long Congress’ misrule.Hundreds of BJP workers gathered at the party office, Kamlam, to celebrate the party's landslide victory in the Lok Sabha Elections. Dancing on drumbeats, chanting slogans, bursting firecrackers and distributing ladoos, party workers wearing the party's saffron caps, raised slogans of 'Har Har Modi' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.
On this occasion Harmohan Dhawan, Satya Pal Jain, the Vice President Raghubir Lal Arora, Heera Negi, Devesh Moudgil, Purshottam Mahajan, Santosh Mishra, Prem Kaushik, Arun Sood, Kamla Sharma, Rajender Kaur Rattu, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Asha Jaswal, Renu Bala, Rajesh Kalia, Rampal Dogar, Balwinder Singh, Shakti Parkash Devshali, Ravikant Sharma, Devi Singh, Gajender Sharma, Ravinder Pathania, Sunita Dhawan, Mohd. Haji Khurshid Ali, Dr AP Sanwariya, Bhimsen Aggrwal, Manish Bhasin, Anup Rana, Amar Passi were present.The State President thanked the party cadre who worked hard for spreading the party’s ideologies among masses and left no stone unturned in ensuring the victory of the MP contender who won the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat by thumping margin.
While expressing happiness over the victory of the party, Sanjay Tandon said, “The credit of the historical victory of Kirron Kher goes to the party workers. The united efforts of our Chandigarh unit have brought the positive results. Chandigarh is a city of well educated people who rejected the scam-ridden Congress party and chose BJP which clearly focused on development agenda. It is a victory of the common man who was suffering from the misrule of Congress here. Besides, India’s new era has begun with Narendra Modi led NDA government’s landslide victory and the nation is set to progress now under his visionary leadership. Besides, Chandigarh will also prosper as the party is committed to serve the common populace”.
Tandon informed that senior leaders and party workers had started pouring in at the party office from 9 am where the arrangements of live telecast of Lok Sabha results were done. The BJP family rejoiced the party’s success together.After the announcement of the victory of the BJP, party workers along with the winning candidate Kirron Kher, Sanjay Tandon, former MP Satya Pal Jain and former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan started a colourful procession from Sector 33 and moved towards sector 20, 30 to reach at the counting centre in sector 26. After securing the certificate of victory, the party cadre took out the procession in sectors 28, 27, 19, 18, 22, 23, 24, 37, 36, 35, 34, 44, 45 and the spectacular show culminated at the party office sector 33 only.
