The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers here at Mini-Secretariat to review and finalize arrangements for ensuing auspicious day of Shab-e-Meraj.The meeting discussed various arrangements put in place by the district administration for the convenience of people across the district.The DC on the occasion directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of essential commodities including rice, Atta, LPG, besides uninterrupted power and water supply, transport arrangements, cleanliness in and around mosques, streets and medicare facilities.Ex. Engineer PDD was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the auspicious occasions.The Department of Jal Shakti was also directed to ensure uninterrupted water supply and also keep available tankers service in the areas wherever necessary.Executive Officers of Municipal Committees were directed to ensure proper sanitation whereas ARTO was directed to ensure proper transport facilities for devotees.The DC also directed to intensify market checking across the district.Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Developmental Commissioner, Additional Superintendent Police, SDM Noorabad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Ex. Engineers of PDD and Jal Shakti, ARTO, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees and other officers of the district.
