For betraying the farmers by enforcing the centre's anti-farmers black laws in the state and lying to them about it, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demanded the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. During a press conference convened at the party headquarters here on Wednesday, senior leader and AAP Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha and Kisan Wing president MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that Punjab Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu should again admit to the media that in Punjab, all three agricultural black laws of the centre were applicable and during this season; the procurement of paddy was done under these laws. They said that the Captain government could not stop the sale of paddy from other states in Punjab due to the central laws that prevent them from doing so, which further proves that he was so far lying to the farmers and the people of Punjab. The AAP leaders said that minister Ashu also agreed that the procurement of wheat crop in the coming season would also be done under these central laws. "Capt Amarinder Singh is acting at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to save his son Raninder Singh from ED cases. For this, he went to meet Amit Shah in Delhi and did not raise any issue related to farmers, thus ignoring the people of Punjab and giving priority to his family," said the leaders. They said that on one hand, the farmers were agitating in severe cold to save their livelihood and on the other hand, the Chief Minister of the state was betraying the farmers for his personal gain.

Raghav Chadha said that the Captain-led Punjab government had pretended to convene a special session of the Vidhan Sabha to repeal the black laws and claimed that new agriculture laws would not be implemented in the state, but since then neither the proceedings of the Vidhan Sabha was sent to the President nor his advocate general took action in the court on this basis. "The government has misled the people of Punjab by putting up hoarding boards with the photo of Captain Amarinder Singh across the state. Captain government has brought-in farm laws to Punjab through the ‘back door'. AAP will unveil the records of betrayal of the people of Punjab by Captain Amarinder Singh, in every village, colony and street," he added. The AAP leaders said that the Congress, SAD and BJP had made these black laws while working for corporate houses under one policy. Following this policy, Captain Amarinder was spreading lies against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was working as a 'sevadar' to the farmers, instead of speaking against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "In fact, Arvind Kejriwal is doing everything possible to help the farmers by going against the orders of Captain Amarinder Singh's boss Narendra Modi. Due to this, Captain is making statements against him," they added. MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that in order to loot the CCL of Punjab, the paddy smugglers had bought paddy from other states at cheaper rates and brought it to Punjab, thus selling it at higher prices. "This time when the farmers caught imported crops, the Punjab government is now trying to save its cronies under the guise of black laws," he added. The AAP leader challenged minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu to make public the action taken against the smugglers of paddy from Punjab and outside the state and how many cases he had registered so far. "All this has been happening under the supervision of the minister. The Aam Aadmi Party demands an inquiry against the ministers who are harboring paddy smugglers to bring out the truth of this nefarious business," said Sandhwan. Regarding the statements being made by the BJP, he said that the BJP was making all sorts of false, baseless allegations to tarnish the image of the farmers' movement and that the benefactors of the country had now come to know their wickedness.
