District Election Officer Kathua (Deputy Commissioner) Om Prakash  today administered oath of allegiance to newly elected member of Kathua Municipal Council here at a ceremony.Rajinder Singh, the elected member representing wards no 2 of Kathua Municipal Council took oath on the occasion.Speaking during the ceremony, the District Election Officer said that the elected representatives of Urban Local Bodies and Panchayats have great role in resolving issues of development and progress of the common masses. He said the purpose of the decentralization of powers is to bring governance at the doorsteps of people.ADC Kathua Atul Gupta, CPO Uttam Singh, Councilor ward no 5 Ashok Kumar and Ward no 21 Valjeet Singh of Kathua MC and other concerned were present on the occasion.
