CM Urges People To Cooperate In Bringing Corruption Into Limelight

Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh today said that Government was committed to provide corruption-free and transparent administration in the State and zero tolerance would be adopted towards corruption. He was addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stone of Government High School, Gummer to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 87 lakh in Jawalamukhi Assembly Constituency. 

Chief Minister said that Government was taking effective steps to curb corruption and sought the cooperation of people to bring in limelight the cases of corruption so that guilty could be brought to book.He said that education was the utmost priority of his Government and Rs. 3836 crore would be spent on this vital sector during this year. A provision of Rs. 63 crore had been made for construction of middle and senior secondary schools in the State. Besides, vocational education was being started in hundred senior secondary schools in the State.

Chief Minister said that State was indebted to UPA Chairman, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh for providing various prestigious institutes for Kangra district including Central University and National Institute of Food Technology (NIFT). Shri Virbhadra Singh announced upgradation of Gummer School to Plus Two and Dhati, Adhawani, Jawalamukhi (girls), Dola Khariyana and Siyalkar High Schools to senior secondary.

He donated a three tyre scooty to Shri Dinesh Kumar of Jased village on behalf of Red Cross Society on the occasion.

Local MLA Shri Sanjay Rattan welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for all around development of the constituency during his previous terms as Chief Minister. He also raised the demands of the people of the area.

Urban Development Minister, Shri Sudhir Sharma, MLA Shri Ajay Mahajan, former MLAs Shri Surender Kaku, Shri Kuldeep Pathania, Shri Manjeet Dogra and Shri Nikhil Rajour and other senior leaders of the party and prominent people were also present on the occasion.
