Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan launches Annual Credit Plan for fiscal year 2020-21

Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan launched the Annual Credit Plan for District for fiscal year 2020-21, here today.The District Credit Plan envisages credit disbursal of Rs 7669.05 Crore. Out of total disbursement, Rs 6162.11 Cr. has been reserved for Priority Sector and Rs 3104 Cr. has been earmarked for Agriculture sector.The aim of the District Credit Plan is to enable balanced growth of the district by optimum utilization of resources, adequate credit dispensation to key sectors, generation of employment opportunities and enhancement of productivity by coordinating various resources, said he. Deputy Commissioner said that the system of annual formulation of District Credit Plan has assumed more importance by redefining provisions of the Service Area Approach scheme with a view to facilitate rural population to have easy access to the institutional credit from any bank of their choice at a competitive price and also to provide banks in public and private sectors with a level playing field.Sh.
