DC Ganderbal chairs maiden meeting of DAS

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, today chaired first meeting of District AYUSH Society (DAS) here.During the meeting threadbare discussion was held regarding the registration of DAS, its role and planning. The meeting decided that the Society will be registered with DIC Ganderbal.District Ayush officer who has also been designated as Chief Executive Officer DAS, explained the role of Ayush Society, its planning, execution and implementation to the members of both Governing body as well as its Executive body.The review meeting of Ayush Society was also convened at the same time and District Ayush Officer Dr Mushtaq Ahmad gave detailed briefing about the infrastructure and functionality of Ayush Ganderbal.The Assistant Director ISM&H explained the future prospects of District Ayush society and highlighted the future projects that are in pipeline for sanctioning.Moreover, District Ayush Officer explored the role of Ayush system of medicine like Regimental therapies including Panchkarama, Yoga, cupping, leeching that are extremely beneficial for public.The DC suggested District Ayush Officer for generating public awareness under DAS, regarding cultivation and propagation of Herbal medicines as home remedies for treatment of common ailments.Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO, CEO and DPO besides other members of the DAS.
